Helping remove financial barriers so young athletes can experience the life-changing benefits of programs like Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Through this program, Genkai Impact provides limited financial assistance through a reimbursement-based funding model for approved youth athletes. The program supports martial arts and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu participation by helping families offset costs associated with training, equipment, and competition.
Funding availability is dependent on donations, fundraising efforts, and program resources.
Youth Support Grant Program
The MIssion
Why This Program Exists:
Martial Arts can change a child’s life!
Through discipline, confidence, and community, young athletes develop the tools they need to succeed both on and off the mats.
Unfortunately, the cost of training, uniforms, and competition fees can create barriers for many families.
The Genkai Impact Youth Support Grant was created to help remove those barriers and ensure more kids have the opportunity to train, grow, and thrive through programs like Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
How The Program Works
-
Applications open when funding is available.
We work to build grant funds through donations, fundraisers, and outreach. We rely on the available resources we have available. Once we reach our funding goal, we will open up applications for young athletes to sign up.
-
Selected youth athletes are awarded a support grant.
Once applicants have been chosen, each approved athlete will receive funds up to $375 for a quarterly period of four months.
-
Families submit receipts for approved martial arts purchases.
The Youth Support Grant runs on a reimbursement funding structure. Parents/Guardians of approved athletes must pay for their approved expenses out-of-pocket and submit a receipt of purchase for review.
-
Genkai Impact reimburses approved expenses.
Once submitted receipts go through the review process and are determined “approved” by Genkai Impact review members, funds will be reimbursed in the approved amounts for athletes.
reimbursement amounts cannot exceed awarded grant funds.

Help Fund The Next Athlete
The Youth Support Grant is made possible through the support of our community.
Every donation helps remove barriers and create opportunities for young aspiring martial artists.
Even small contributions can make a meaningful difference in a child’s journey.
Our goal is to raise $1,875.00 to support the first five youth athletes in the Genkai Impact program.
As the program grows, additional fundraising will allow us to support even more athletes in future grant cycles.
